Update 1: Groundbreaking!

Hey all, the Tucson Arizona Temple will be Groundbroken on October 17th at 10:00. This also happens to be the exact date and time as the groundbreaking of the Concepción Chile Temple.

Now for a bit of history:

The Tucson temple was first announced in the October 2012 General Conference. Plans were first submitted to Pima County in 2013 and gave a design for a 34,000 square foot, two-story temple. It will be built on the foothills of the Catalina Mountains near Skyline Drive.

Anyway, until next time.
